Excalibur Logo

Incising of round and sawn timber sections for ground contact applications has become a recognised method of improving penetration of preservative chemicals into resistant timber species and heartwood zones.

Incising is a mechanical process where small incisions are made in the surface of the wood allowing chemical treatments to find their way into the wood more easily, meaning that harder to treat species can meet the requirements of Use Class 4 treatment standards.

Timber Treatment Solutions are proud to be able to offer the highly innovative EXCALIBUR-R (for round & peeled) and EXCALIBUR-PRO (for sawn) incising machines. These machines are capable of carrying out the arduous task of incising due to their robust design and years of operation in the field.
